Measure each branch, not just total length
The distance from the joining point to each dog determines separation. Adjustable branches may help balance different heights, but they do not remove the effect of one dog suddenly changing direction.
Check what is included: some products provide a coupler that needs a separate main lead, while others include the handle and full assembly. Match clips and connection points to the intended use.
Choose the dogs as a pair
Two dogs that walk calmly at a similar pace are a different case from a fast walker paired with one that stops frequently. Shared equipment should not be used to make one dog restrain the other.
