Measure height, spread and base

For an artificial papyrus set, confirm the number of plants and whether the stated height includes the supplied pot. Measure the widest foliage spread as well as the base. A tall narrow photograph does not show the full floor space needed beside a sofa or doorway.

Plan the indoor arrangement

Use the plants in the environment specified for the exact model. Indoor artificial foliage should not be assumed suitable for temporary outdoor use, direct weather or prolonged sun. Compare the assembled weight and support requirements before placing a tall plant where it could be knocked.

Use decorative pots carefully

If adding a cachepot, compare its internal opening and depth with the supplied base. Do not remove a fixed base or alter its support without permission in the instructions. Leave the arrangement stable and keep foliage clear of curtains, heaters and walkways.

Allow for routine care

Artificial plants need no watering, but they still collect dust. Follow the maker's cleaning instructions for the actual materials rather than assuming every leaf can be washed. Do not describe artificial foliage as allergy-free, permanently fade-proof or environmentally certified without evidence. Choose from dimensions, appearance and the care routine you can maintain.
